JAN TAMINIAU

Jan Taminiau (Goirle, Holanda, 14 de septiembre de 1975) es un diseñador con una predilección fuerte para materiales y técnicas originales. En 2001 se graduó de la Academia del Arte en la Arnhem, y en el año 2003 terminó su Master en el Instituto de Moda de la ciudad de Arnhem. En el 2003 Taminiau lanzó su propia marca, JANTAMINIAU. En el período 2004-2007, realizó desfiles en Ámsterdam, Nueva York, París, Roma, y Antwerp. Actualmente es el diseñador holandés favorito de la princesa Máxima.
Taminiau: "La base de mi trabajo es siempre la misma: traduzco continuamente el espejo asimétrico de la vida. Todo que tomo de la vida cotidiana, lo plasmo en los diseños. Esto es reflejado en mi trabajo, el concepto 2D/3D y mi amor a la técnica y a la artesanía. Expresado de forma distinta en cada colección, aunque la idea siempre es la misma. Yo diseño y refino personalmente todas los materiales que utilizo aplicando técnicas tradicionales e industriales".

Jan Taminiau (Goirle, the Netherlands, September 14, 1975) is a designer with a strong predilection for original materials and techniques.
In 2001 he graduated from the Academy of Art in Arnhem, and in 2003 he finished the master’s programme at the Fashion Institute of Arnhem. In 2003 he launched his own label, JANTAMINIAU. Between 2004 and 2007, he hold several fashion shows in Amsterdam, New York, Paris, Rome, and Antwerp. Jan Taminiau is Máxima’s favourite Dutch designer.
Taminiau: “The basis of my work is always the same: I am continually translating the asymmetrical mirror of life. Everything I undertake in daily life I place in my own context. This is reflected in my work, the 2D/3D concept and my love of technique and craftsmanship. Expressed differently in each collection, though the core remains unchanged. The basis is dogmatic, the process organic.
I personally design and refine all the materials I use by applying traditional and – sometimes – industrial techniques.”

Vestido largo en chiffon de seda, de la colección Evolution, en tono rosa viejo, sobre una base de raso de seda en el mismo tono. Apliques de chiffon formado flores, en el mismo tono del vestido, con cristales Swarovski. Cinturón rojo de seda.

Dress from the Evolution collection in silk chiffon, in old rose color, over a bodice of silk satin, in the same color. Appliques made of the same chiffon cover the front of the bodice, along with Swarovski crystals. The belt is made of dark red silk.

Gala dress by Jan Taminiau made of several layers of very pale pink silk organza, with all over Swarovski crystals .The skirt is wide and forms a small train in the back. The hem has four sets of sequined trim, in silver, and Swarovski crystals. The trim is repeated in the bust and in the back.

Chaqueta en una tela muy similar al lino, aparentemente reciclada de viejas bolsas de correo. Tiene mangas largas y es entallada; a la altura de la cintura esta adornada con apliques de tela en los tonos de la bandera holandesa, lo que se repite en las mangas. La parte superior cierra con seis broches de metal.

Jacket in a linen-like fabric, recycled from old mail bags. The jacket has long sleeves and fitted, the length just below the hips, and the waist is adorned with appliqués in the tones of the Dutch flag, which is repeated in the sleeves. The top of the jacket has six metal brooches that close it up.

Vestido de la colección Passe Partout en seda azul, estilo trench-coat, con solapas amplias y botones estilo bijoux. La falda es levemente acampanada y de largo a la rodilla.
